The Foundation of a dojo are the students who make it. There are many black belts in karate today, and many who are well on their way to attaining such an achievement. Renshi Cunningham has always expressed that every student who enters the dojo has the opportunity to receive their black belt under him. He sometimes pictures them wearing it long before their belt begins to darken. New students eventually become the normal class and then gradually mold themselves into the effective and confident karate-ka of the dojo. Listed below are our recent newcomers who have begun building the foundation for their Isshinryu training.
